TJ started diving in late 70's and early 80's, caving in the Open Circuit. He studied with NUEI, both Open Circuit and Closed Circuit as well as Commercial Diving. Always looking for new technology, he started his first job over 33 years ago with IBEW . And has extensive power utility & electrical engineering background and is both inside & outside classification. He has a DM & also Master Industrial Diving Instructor CD. ED. E.E .and is a graduate of MDEA. His certifications include Open Circuit & Closed Circuit Instructor, Sportstech Instructor Trainer, Certified Commercial Diving InstructorTrainer, and Baromedical Trainer.
TJ is the founding father of Industrial Diving Institute and the exciting new classification of Industrial Diving Wireman, the most highly trained craftsman, in the diving world as we know it now. IDI is dedicated to training the authentic Journeyman Wireman Electrician for underwater electric work so that we have true professionals in the field. Our hope for the future is that all Union Crafts and Trades will come together and require this type of quality craftsmanship from each trade, working together in unison to perform the job to its post superiority."
Our goal for the industry is to change the way the construction industry uses commercial divers. His philosophy is that "We need to change the expectation of commercial diver: they should be properly trained divers, True Union Craftsmen." We don't want our students to be just your average Commercial Diver or so-called "Underwater Construction Worker." They will be the most Qualified Craftsman Worldwide.
